While we wait...

So I know this is long overdue, but I wanted to give everyone who prayed for, supported, and encouraged us before/during/after our time in the studio a little snippet of what went on while we were in North Carolina (one month ago today!).

Working with Danny Crawford (piano, keyboard, organ) and David Johnson (dobro, electric guitar, steel guitar, bass guitar, classical guitar, and cello) was a dream come true. These guys are incredible studio musicians who are in studios on a daily basis... yet their ability to bring unique freshness to an otherwise mundane and sleepy album is incredible. I guess it's their job, but they didn't treat it that way and their talent still amazes me. Gary, my engineer, was great and obviously still has a lot of work to do in mixing the album.

Probably, most of you aren't interested in the rather discursive details of the actual recording process... So for your benefit, I will leave these details out.

I am including a few pictures for you to enjoy of our time in the studio.

For those of you who have asked (and wondered) when the album will be released... I am wondering the same thing :-). It is getting mixed this week, then it will be sent to a mastering studio in Nashville for the final step. After that we'll be ready for the duplication process (which lasts about 10 days to 2 weeks). So we still have a ways to go before it's done, but... all the licenses and royalties are taken care of!! (Praise the Lord!) I think this was the smoothest time I've had tracking down publishers and songwriters (and that's with a record number of songs to have to account for).

So until it's here, continue to pray for all of us involved in these final stages. I am well aware that this is a ministry I cannot undertake on my own and have been overwhelmed at the response and support I have received from so many of you. Thank you!

If you haven't already, sign up for E-mail updates so you will be notified when the album is released (and you'll gain access to some promo codes in the meantime).

Keep your eye out for a behind the scenes video from our time in the studio! You won't want to miss it. Pretty awesome.
